The Beautiful Double Room amazed me with its spaciousness and really comfortable bed. Everything felt luxurious and clean. John, the host, stood out. He provided personalized breakfast options and had so much local knowledge to share about Moffat and Scotland. I appreciated the warm welcome and not sketchy at all as a solo traveler. Small detail, but the ironing facilities came in handy for my attire. The only downside was the tight staircase leading to the room, which required a bit of careful navigation. Despite this minor inconvenience, I would definitely return because everything else was so good.

Three flights of stairs to reach the room might deter some!!! A bit more attention to the overall noise insulation would enhance the experience!!!

What a gem this place is! I loved the cozy feel of the beautifully decorated room, especially with the antiques and lovely bedding. Breakfast was a good experience, chatting with John while enjoying the amazing freshly made smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Just a heads-up-accessing the room can be a bit tricky with the steep stairs, but it's totally worth it. I'm looking forward to visiting again!
